I am a PhD candidate and Clinical Psychologist. Using Machine Learning models my PhD project focuses on understanding whether Diffision Tensor Imaging can be a biomarker for non-Alzheimer’s tauopathies particularly in PSP and CBD. The aim is to improve diagnosis and prognosis of rarer forms of dementia. I am also interested in understanding the views of general public in the use of Artificial Intelligence to aid diagnosis of dementia. Qualitative research will be conducted to explore this topic. Outside of my PhD project and more broadly, I am keen to explore topics of environmental risk factors for the development of sporadic forms of dementia as well as its impact in depression and anxiety disorders.
